As I was observing each person drawing the body position that they chose I noticed that they did not put a lot of action and movement into the actual human figure. I found this telling because the higher level of art that you have been exposed to would mean that different techniques could be exposed. This meaning that each was not exposed to the different types of shading and movement techniques available. This indicated to me that they in fact did stop doing art very young in school the average was about 7th grade. Interesting enough when think back about the last time i took art this was about the same time as them. In high school they are offered as electives and most of us who are not talented will opt out and chose a different elective we find easier. All in all this was a good demonstration that we do stop art too early and someone that is older may still have the peak ability of a 5th grader.
